Discovering the power of chiropractic was a gift. Sharing the power of chiropractic is a blessing.
Chiropractic treatments are primarily applied to the spinal region, many individuals incorrectly assume that chiropractors treat only back and neck ailments.
While we do quickly and effectively eliminate back and neck pain, it's not the only goal. The objective is to restore and optimize human health. In fact, according to a statement from The Association of Chiropractic Colleges, "The purpose of chiropractic is to optimize health."
At Atlas Chiropractic, we want to help our youngest patients enjoy a lifetime of wellness.
“Our mission is to share the blessing of chiropractic with as many families as possible in our community, in order that they can experience the joy of maximum health restoration and wellness”
Babies and Children
What could be more important than knowing that your newborn baby’s nervous system, immune system, and developmental progress are functioning and developing at their full God-given potential?
At Atlas Chiropractic we believe that what you eat largely determines what kind of health you enjoy today and in your future.
“You are what you eat?" Yet, like so many other catch phrases we know, “knowing the way, is not the same as going the way.”
Folks, it cannot be overstated: Nutritional Counseling is vital to your overall health. Countless research studies have overwhelmingly proven that proper nutrition and nutritional counseling are vital to ones' health.
Nutrition is vital to your health and the health of everyone in your family.
MEET DOCTOR McCANN
After graduation from high school Dr. James McCann did a two year hitch in the U.S. Army where he was trained as a medic and became interested in the medical field.
After discharge from the Army he entered an Associate in Science in Respiratory Therapy Program. Upon graduation he worked for 3 years as a Respiratory Therapist in the Hospital setting but became disillusioned with the medical profession.

He sold his businesses in 1989 and went to Chiropractic school at the age of 38. He Graduated from Life Chiropractic College in Marrieta, Georgia in 1995 and then opened an office in Mobile Alabama. After one year in Mobile he returned to Mass and worked as an associate for another year. He opened Atlas Chiropractic in West Springfield in 1997 and moved the office 3 miles
down the road to Holyoke in September 2007.
